I adopt a holistic approach to your well-being, emphasizing your overall health. Our sessions delve into your medical background, dietary patterns, lifestyle preferences, family health, and environmental influences to craft a customized strategy.
We prioritize fundamental aspects such as hydration, diverse diet, restful sleep, and regular exercise to lay a strong foundation. Additionally, we may utilize both standard and specialized tests to gain insights into your digestive health, nutritional needs, and hormonal balance. These assessments might involve analyzing samples like stool, saliva, or urine to provide a clearer understanding of your health.
My Story
Becoming a naturopathic doctor wasn't just a career choice for me; it was a journey born from my own health struggles and a fierce determination to defy limitations. Growing up amidst the conventional healthcare system, with a nurse for a mother, I was drawn to the world of medicine from a tender age. Witnessing the bustling energy of the ER where my mom worked, I felt an innate pull to heal, to make a difference.
Yet, life had its own plans. At eleven, epilepsy entered my story, threatening to rewrite my dreams. A neurologist's discouraging words echoed in my mind: "You can't become a doctor because you have epilepsy." But if there's one thing my family knows about me, it's my stubborn resolve. Tell me I can't, and I'll show you how I can.
Yes, epilepsy presented its obstacles—long hours, stress, the potential for seizures — but it couldn't extinguish my passion for medicine. Through college, I immersed myself in molecular biology and chemistry, laying the groundwork for my aspirations. Graduation marked a milestone, but life had a curveball—mysterious bouts of vertigo, defying explanation despite medical scrutiny.
Frustration gave way to determination. Exhausting conventional avenues, I turned to alternative paths, leading me to a transformative encounter in a Vermont clinic. There, a compassionate naturopathic doctor swiftly diagnosed me with BPPV and, with a simple maneuver, banished the vertigo that plagued me for months.
Yet, it wasn't just the swift diagnosis that left its mark—it was the genuine care, the unhurried conversation about health, diet, and lifestyle. In that moment, I felt truly seen, truly heard. It was a revelation—a glimpse into the kind of doctor I longed to become.
With renewed purpose, I embarked on a new chapter, enrolling and graduating from one of the nation's premier accredited naturopathic medical schools. Upon graduation I completed a residency under two renowned Naturopathic doctors who specialize in neurological conditions, Drs. Marco Vespignani and Laurie Mischley. I have gone on to practice the medicine I love, embracing a philosophy rooted in holistic care.
